Spice Cake Recipe

Spiced just right, this simple eggfree recipe will light up the tast buds.

Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup soft butter
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
- 1 teaspoon all spice
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1 can condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 can strawberry pie filling
Directions
- Mix all the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon powder and all spices) together in bowl using a wooden spoon.
- Add the soft butter, evaporated milk, condensed milk and vanilla in the dry mixture and using a hand beater/mixture mix all the ingredients together for 3 minutes or until the batter is nice and thick (tip: instead of hand beater you can use wooden spoon to mix the ingredients as well. Just ensure that all the ingredients in the bottom mixed well as well).
- In a different bowl, pour the strawberry pie filling and 1 or 1½ cup of the cake mixture. And using a spatula mix the both items without squashing the strawberries.
- Preheat the oven in 325°F (163°C). In a 9x13 inch glass pan, brush the bottom and the sides with the butter and sprinkle some flour.
- Pour the strawberry mixture to the glass pan and spread the mixture evenly using a spatula.
- Pour the cake mixture on top of the strawberry mixture and spread it evenly using a spatula.
- Bake the cake for about 45-50 minutes in the oven.
- Once baked, remove the tray from the oven and let the cake to cool down for about 10-15mintues before you turn the cake on a different tray/ board.
